| OK, here's your chance to do more than just complain on the C.B.
about a particular shipper or receiver that had you show up at your
appointed time, then told you to go sit somewhere until they decided
they felt like loading or unloading your truck or trailer. That's right,
I said truck or trailer. If you drive a straight truck, you're still a
trucker, and your input matters! |
| |
| What to include: |
| The company name, (street address if possible), city and state, and
a short explanation of why you feel other drivers should refuse to pick
up or deliver at this company unless they make changes.

| Company: GALLOP
LOGISTICS of TORONTO, ON |
Issues: GALLOP LOGISTICS of TORONTO, ON uses
unfair business practices by manipulating rates resulting in lower than
average rate. They been always using mix of "Gross rate" and "To the
truck Rate" to confuse truck owner.
DON'T WORK WITH THEM. THEIR RATES ARE LOWEST IN THE INDUSTRY. THEY DON'T
PAY DETENTION, THEY HIJACK YOUR TRUCK AND GIVE YOU LOWEST RATE POSSIBLE. |

From: george.
We have had good dealings with Gallop, in most cases they will pay you
the day you unload via comcheck. |

| As you start writing in with the information, I will post it here.
As the site grows, there will be one page for shippers and one for
consignees, and maybe one for each state and different trucking
companies as well. When enough drivers enough drivers join Truck
Drivers United and complain about a particular company, I will ask that
drivers write in and let me know if they will join together to boycott
that company, and if they will, I will post the number of drivers that
agree to boycott them, then ask that we join together and refuse to
either pick up or deliver loads to that company unless they change
the way they do business and create a more organized and efficient way
of loading and unloading trucks to get us in and out faster. |
| |
| If you provide me with a phone
number for the company, I will even call them myself and let
them know that there are enough drivers prepared to boycott
their company to disrupt their business, and possibly close down
the warehouse if they aren't willing to make changes IMMEDIATELY
to reduce the time they take to load or unload trucks!
I will even work with them and offer
suggestions on how to improve the shipping or receiving process
to prevent their company from being boycotted.
After all, our goal isn't to put
any shipper or receiver out of business (we need them as much as
they need us), but our ultimate goal is to be able to work
together WITH the customers to improve conditions at the docks
so we can GET IN AND GET OUT FASTER. |
|
| |
| Additionally, if you think that it's time to stop purchasing fuel in
a particular state, or any other suggestions you might have, unless they
change their truck speed limit, remove lane restrictions, and create
equal fines for cars and trucks, I will post it here and we can decide
what state we will target first, and when. |
| |
| Just like I am willing to
contact companies to help improve conditions, I will contact the
Governors Office of any state we agree to boycott. Whether they
chose to listen or not is their choice, but I will make an
effort to get the changes we want made in the most practical and
reasonable manner possible to prevent us from having to resort
to drastic measures. |
|
| |
| If you don't think this will work, and you don't think we can
make changes, I say YOU ARE WRONG!
If we communicate,
stand together, work with one another, we can make ANY CHANGES WE WANT!
Since it costs nothing to join Truck Drivers United, and all I'm
asking you to do is help yourself by helping other drivers, why wouldn't
you be willing to try and improve the industry for yourself and your
family? |
